I yesterday I got Tatler which was covered by the queen bitch herself Olivia Palermo,I never bought Tatler before but I really liked it because its more about the privileged people and they don’t have a high street edit (which vogue has one intentionally I just chuck in the bin)
Anyways I flicked through a number of adverts (they put them in the front of the magazine which is an good idea and doesn’t ruin the whole experience when you middle of an article and their pops up is marc jacobs naked) one after another I came across an story about the prince of Malaysia who just finished this GCSE at Eton Collage (Jealously !!!!)
a picture in it reminded me of LOVE so I looked at LOVEs second issue and found out that they copied it,Obviously loves was better as they had fit Californian people (but that isn’t the point) but I hate when really good pictures get copied and called their own. I know it happens everyday but I won’t expect it from an sophisticated magazine such as Tatler to get ideas from quite an urban magazine.
As you know the Burberry S/S 11 was amazing with studded snake-skin biker jackets to the quilted leather pants.Christopher new collection is so so cool twisting classic items such as the trench with quilted leather sleeves (ALEXANDER WANG ALERT)
But the collection is far from wearable and investable (afraid so) as these pieces are only going to be fashionable for the new couple of years and will be out of style :(
Hopefully I will be wrong but one thing is making the news at the moment is the shoes, the shoes were just ‘Major’ as would Rachel Zoe would say and not many of the models could walk in them.Far many of the models were walking in a wonky way guessing they can’t balance in them or not comfortable (I don’t know as I never wore heels before) but one model took her shoes off THE NEW FACE NINA PORTER fell over at the end.
The worse thing about the fall as she was the last look (Most important as-well-as the first) and you can see what she is trying with her facial expression is to not fall -over but she did. :( :( :(
Hopefully when the shoes come-out in the shops they will be shorter and hopefully improve the shoes rather than Prada in 2009 who didn’t make the shoes any-more stable than a the show and let my mum to fall over in the shop LOL
But one of the good things about the collection they had a range of Black and Asian models which they didn’t use in the past and hopefully the AD campaign will feature some :)
